I listened to the first three tracks from the upcoming Maroon 5 Album in August 2025.
When I listened to the song "California" somehow I envisioned Adam sitzing at home and writing it about Blake. The lyrics fit very well, so I created this fanfiction.

James Diamond (Levine), a sus 18 años, pasó por momentos difíciles, se enteró que su madre biológica lo entregó en adopción, que su verdadero padre es Adam Levine, se hizo famoso de la noche a la mañana y, como si todo eso no fuera suficiente, tuvo que irse a vivir con Adam a Los Ángeles.
James también tuvo que amoldarse a su nueva vida ya que Adam, a diferencia de su madre biológica, se preocupa por él desde que se enteró de su existencia, Adam intentó arduamente tener una relación padre e hijo con James, a pesar de que su hijo no se la hizo fácil e inicialmente lo rechazó pero Adam no se rindió porque James es todo para él y James, aunque no lo reconozca, quiere a Adam a pesar de acabar de enterarse que es su padre.
Ahora, una nueva etapa está por empezar en la vida de James, una etapa relacionada a la boyband improvisada que formó junto a sus tres mejores amigos "Big Time Rush" y a Adam, ya que su padre será el representante de su banda, buscando cumplir sus sueños y llevarlos a él, Kendall, Carlos y Logan a la fama.
