Jean envisions Judit’s clasped hands parting ever so slightly to let that single imperfect opinion slip loose. Tell me more, he wants to say, tell me everything. Give me your hands. “Lucky for you I’m not a narc,” is what he says out loud.
And then Jean realized how fucking wrong he’d been. Jude has a wild imagination, wild as Harry’s, and as daring. Jude has a dream so massive Jean could only hear the furthest edges of it in her pronunciation of more important things, the hint of some faraway place where two men walk proud and free.
Her eyes had been so bright. Not the brightness of the warm setting sun and its aristocratic palette that belonged across the river. Jude’s gaze was melting iron. Glowing. Pure resolve. Tenderness that survived the forging fire, then fire again.
The next world, Jean. Everything will be possible for them.

Summary
AU that diverges from the implied Post-Canon Le Retour and the fate described in Sacred and Terrible Air. Elysium gradually gets five new isolas and a Pale that suddenly works differently one year after the events of the game for the next twenty years. Essentially, the world is set to end (?) much later than expected, at the cost of a more supra-natural Elysium.

He almost, almost, opens his mouth to say something about what had happened in that hotel room, but the memory of Jean's eyes as he'd stormed to the bathroom, the way he'd held up a finger at Kim as if commanding him, keeps his mouth firmly shut.
The quiet is broken only a minute later when Jean pushes his chair back and stretches. Kim's eye is magnetically drawn to the patch of pale skin exposed by the hem of his shirt riding up, lined with delicate white marks nearly hidden by the hair there. That night, Kim hadn't really been able to see much in the way of details, and he suddenly finds himself regretting that fact immensely.

Back in the infirmary at Precinct 41, Nix Gottlieb immediately has you strip off your trousers. It takes a heroic effort but you do not say, “Buy me dinner first?”
“Good to see you made it,” he says, nonchalantly, removing the bandages and frowning at your torn stitches. The wound in your thigh oozes and you twist the corners of your mouth. The leg does not seem your leg, does not seem attached to the body that does not seem to belong to you. You’re sure it is someone else’s leg, cleverly folded beneath the jaundiced torso that was beneath the head that also cannot be your own. You looked out at the world through stolen eyes; now you look down at the hands assigned to you. They’re covered in dried mud and blood and motor oil.

Harry sat down at his desk with a deep, self-appreciating sigh. He finally did it. He woke up before 7:30AM, and he made it. He was by his desk all armed and ready: a cup of coffee in one hand, a rolled newspaper in another, in an ironed white shirt. This without a doubt will be the greatest testimonial to his new-found professionalism. Deeds are what counts, not words. When Jean comes in - that’s right, Harry has arrived at the precinct before Mr Mopey himself - he’ll be shocked. He will be beyond shocked, he’ll be flabbergasted and losing his mind. 'Holy shit, I didn’t know the staff reanimating your corpse had early morning shifts!' he will say. And then he’ll have to take back the words that Harry wasn’t a morning person.
One day from different perspectives in five different chapters - Harry suffers from crack of dawn syndrome, Jean gets haunted by the Spectre of Ultraliberalism, and Kim... is slightly late.
