Unlike the 5x10 seemed to retcon out a huge part of why Castle's marriage with Meredith ended and was a pick on Castle episode.

So, I finished the series again (and finished Interrogatives?) in very early January. I took some time off and watched a bunch of other things. But this is my comfort show and having a writing practice that involves showing up to the page each night is apparently better than . . . not doing that?
So, for the fourth time, I guess, one short ficlet per episode. They're independent of one another, so a reader can dip in and out of things. The premise for this series its much looser than the previous three. There was Dialogic (stories prompted by a line of dialogue), Object Lessons (prompted by an object that appears in the episode), and Interrogatives? (prompted by a question literally asked during the episode).
In this series, the prompt is . . . what do Castle and Beckett want to know more about in the context of the episode? What moment got interrupted, or what aren't they telling one another (or ready to ask about yet). As I said, pretty loose, and I think that's showing, but we'll see how it goes.
I'll put these up. season-by-season. I'm into Season 6 right now, but it'll take me some time to transfer things from Tumblr.

Although I suppose in my mind these are "in continuity" with one another, one can certainly read them independent of one another.

After watching around to the end of the series (i.e., "Hollander's Woods," because nothing after that exists), and taking some time to watch a few other things during workouts, I'm back around to the beginning of the series again.
This story is 23 brief sketches, one for each episode of Season 6, inspired by a line of dialogue from the episode.
I did the same thing for Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 but there's no reason you couldn't read this story (or any chapter of any of these stories) independent of the others.

When Castle's son is kidnapped, the man calling himself M doesn't demand money. He wants Castle to write a story in which Derrick Storm teams up with Detective Heat to solve a kidnapping. He has specific parameters that Castle as the writer must follow and strict rules in regards to how Rome's kidnapping must be addressed by the team and who can be involved. As M taunts Castle psychologically torturing father and son on both ends of the phone, it's a race against time to find Rome before M decides how the story should end.
Set between season 1 and 2. This is a sequel to "Like Father Like Son" and was originally published to Fanfiction.net and CoWritten with HugMe.Please consider leaving kudos or even comments. It began as a challenge issued by a reader on FanFiction and quickly became one of my proudest works.

He's a regular kid, minus one important fact, he's going deaf. This is part of an ongoing series that covers (in theory and hopefully) all eight seasons of the show.
