A year has passed since the Fall of the Forsaken. Excavation of the Ruins of Lordaeron causes a stirring within, awakening what was once dead and buried, but not forgotten. The Val'kyr pact had to be fulfilled, after all. Sylvanas reawakens, confined to house arrest in Dalaran under the watchful eye of her sister and Jaina, still reeling from the Horde.

This series is a collection of stories that share the same AU elements, supporting characters and events. It follows the large strokes of the lore starting from The Cataclysm, but the details and some of the events have diverged from canon. There will be legion speculation and even minor spoilers but these stories will diverge from game canon as I'm starting before Legion release, and will probably be different where information is conflicting or where I am intentionally diverging to tell a slightly different story.
Expect adventure and character growth! And dragons.

Summary
As the plague spreads in Lordaeron, a mage is sent to try to find information from one of the oldest nations on the continent. Doing so, she meets a Ranger General that is about to change her view of things. The both of them will uncover truths, make new allies, and potentially even, find a kindred soul to fall in love with.
This story takes place as the third war prepares to unfold, and diverts from canon! Arthas just left for Northrend, Lordaeron is falling into chaos, and Jaina is on a mission to fix it all. I am still not sure how it will end, to be frank, and will update tags and such as needed :) All I know is that it will be gay, will have some cuteness, and probably some hurt and comfort along the way!
