Summary
In 1875, Erik (the Phantom of the Opera) meets ten-year-old Christine Daaé by accident when she visits the Palais Garnier with her ailing father, Gustave. Undaunted by his enigmatic presence in the opera house, Christine naïvely dubs him "the Angel of Music" and befriends him at a difficult time in her life. Erik teaches Christine to sing and, unlike other adults around her, helps her navigate the complexities of death and grief.
Ten years later, Christine returns to the Palais Garnier as a dancer and aspiring soloist. But time has altered both the Phantom and his former student. The child Erik cared for is now an adult; and much to his surprise (and chagrin), he has fallen in love with her. Meanwhile, Christine is torn between two figures from her past: Raoul and her mysterious "Angel of Music"--who is not the angel she thought him to be. Meeting each other all over again, Erik and Christine must plunge into their memories to navigate the trials of love, grief, and time.

Summary
Christine Daaé has always dreamt of becoming an opera singer in the Opéra Populaire, to become the leading soprano. When her father dies, her world if flipped upside down and she is sent to live in the Paris Opera House, where her father used to play. As she is exploring the opera house, she runs into a boy she helped save all those years ago, who eventually, she discovers has a beautiful singing voice and music, which leads them to help each other with their singing in secret. Over the years, Christine begins to see his kind-hearted soul beneath his strong facade. All is well until Christine’s childhood friend, Raoul, sees Christine and attempts to be romantically involved with her because she had become famous. As pressure from external forces continue to attack Christine and Erik, it soon becomes obvious that Raoul is the true monster of the opera.

A re-telling of the phantom, if The phantom and Christine ended up together, Raoul is a douchebag in this so don't read if you support him, trying to mix a bit of the book and the 2004 movie and the ALW musical, this is just a gigantic mess. Eventual fluff, drama and romance. NOT FOR RAOULxCHRISTINE shippers! Also, might add a second part involving LND plot, but it wont be essential to the story so u will be able to skip it.

At no time like the one of the Paris Belle Époque, so high a premium had been placed upon gothic romances and ghost stories.
It is the spring of 1880 in Paris when Christine Daaé, Orphan of father enters for the first time in the sumptuous glittering world of the Opera Garnier with hopes and dreams of reaching the pinnacle of feminine divinity of the civilization of which she was part of: a prima donna soprano of the world stage. But the angelic singing voice that once inspired admiration in others, is in the grave with her beloved father. As a destitute unwanted girl with no place in the world, Christine navigates the dark waters of the Opera stage, inevitably finding herself at the furthest fringes of decent society, prey of wealthy patreons frequenting backstage doorways. In the shadows of the great Opera House, a watchful guardian emerges from the darkness to shape Christine's voice, instructing her to sing, restoring her voice to brilliant prowess once again.
