Summary
James Marriott is the singer of an up-and-coming rock band Taxi Reservations. After the unexpected success of their first album, he finds himself struggling to write the next ones. Expectations slowly eat him alive and, while money starts to fade away, his biggest dream seems to hide a darker side. Becoming what he always wanted to be, slowly, looked like a leap of faith that required too much sacrifice.
Will Lenney is a footballer who knows nothing about life outside playing football. Every broken part of him, forced to follow a dotted line to achieve the only thing that makes him breathe easier; when he’s on the field. He tries to make his life fit an idealized, predefined image of what it means to be a footballer, meticulously following a pre-established plan. He is sure that he can't do anything else beside throwing a ball around efficiently.

Will didn’t look back until he was inside the lobby, by then James had gone and he could get into the lift and breath out for the first time in hours. What would life be like if he asked James to come up with him? If he was just part of their lives? If he knew there was a ‘their’ to be part of? He wasn’t sure if he could take seeing his big hazel eyes looking at him with hurt if he ever found out.
"Papa!" Juno was fussing when he got inside the flat, dropping his coat and bag just as she reached him with an appalled expression on her face - big hazel eyes shining almost golden as she grabbed his arm.

Will finally snapped out of it.
His hand moved to cling to James’ shirt, the other tangling in the taller hair to pull his head away enough to connect their lips again.
This time, the kiss was softer, smoother. Less of a clash of teeth and overwhelming emotions, but of apologies and a softer kind of emotion.
The kiss slowly ended, but neither man strayed far from the other.
“James… say it again.” Will said softly, pleadingly, breath caressing James’ lips.
“I love you, Will.” He said immediately, tilting his head to press his lips to Will's cheek. He had expected Will may need this assurance, and he was all too happy to give it.
“Again.” Will repeated, his tone taking on a slightly desperate edge, struggling to believe this is real.
“I love you.”
“Again.”
James slowly moved away, his hands coming to rest on his shoulders, looking Will in the eye.
“William Lenney, I love you, and that will never change.”
Will surged forward, reconnecting their lips, his arms moving to wrap around James’ neck.
“I love you too, James, I love you so much.” He whispered against his lips, missing the door creaking open.
“Oh my God, it's happening!” Abby squealed.
“Abby, wait a second-!”
She was already running off to tell the rest of the crew, and likely George too.
“Jesus Christ, I hate my staff.” Will groaned, slumping against James.
All he did was cackle, “let them have this, I doubt we would be here without them.”
Looking up, Will quickly asked, “Did they corner you too?”
“Broke into my house and refused to leave until they were almost late for the next train, you?”
“Mikey didn't shut up or stop stuffing his face until I confessed. I wanted to fire him on the spot.”
James smiled softly, curling an arm around Will's waist, pressing a soft peck to his lips. “I love you, James.”
“I know, what's not to love?”

James laughed along with him, kissing every inch of his face before grabbing the discarded ring box. It held two silver bands, two engravings on them.‘If it's only love’

Will grinned as James slipped the first one on his finger, “Bit pretentious to engrave your own song lyrics on your engagement rings, don't you think?” He teased, admiring the ring.
“Hey, it was between that and a ring with gemstones in the shape of a bundle of grapes and my one with ‘I like glape’ engraved, be grateful I went with the sensible option. Plus, the songs about you, so I don't want to hear any complaints.” James grumbled.
“So in other words, Abby told you that was stupid when you went ring shopping?”
James let out a reluctant sigh, “Yeah, that's exactly what happened.”

Summary

George's voice interrupts Will repeating over and over his lines for the Rodd's advertisement.
"The coffee?".
Will kind of barks, even more disoriented on how he could even know how it's going with a product that still has to come out.
"No, you absolute plank... that."
George doesn't really point at anything, just gazes off at something, but Will doesn't have to look very far to understand what he's referring to. James is just a little further away from them, getting his suit adjusted along his arms and legs. He is standing, trying to stay completely still, while chatting with Orla and Ieuan about something. Probably he is also trying out a bit of his lines.
"Uh, eh... mh."
George chuckles at Will's lack of words.Or: Almost ten months in the life of James and Will in a relationship, snippets of their daily life and of the people around them. A slow and fluffy fanfiction, where realizations are warming like summer heat.
