Summary
Lucifer wants to just smite everyone involved with Alastor's kidnapping but realises he can’t just go decimate what is essentially the ruling class of Pentagram City without consequence. Since he can’t do that, he focuses on the continuing talks with Heaven and making sure Alastor has the time he needs to heal and recover from his ordeal.
Alastor pretends to not know that Lucifer is ‘managing’ him by having Charlie or Vaggie come sit with him as he heals. He spends his days sleeping and talking about anything other than what just happened to him and he’s fine, no really, he is.
Meanwhile, Angel is planning to leave the hotel and Vaggie’s solution causes a few ruffled feathers.

The photos on the screen change, from smiling photos of the three victims to a brutal crime scene. One girl was slouched over a kitchen table, surrounded by a pool of blood, face disfigured beyond recognition. A second girl laid across a sofa suffered similar mutilation, and the final of the three was posed on a bed, face equally ruined, a book stapled into her hands.
Derek’s eyes narrow, squinting at the image, “Is that…?”
“A Bible,” JJ confirms, “LAPD thinks it belongs to the unsub.”
“Actually,” Spencer pipes up, “A study found that 87% of American households own a Bible, despite only 67% identifying as Christian, so though the victims may not have been religious, we can’t outrule the possibility that—”
“There’s a name written on it,” JJ interrupts, looking bemused, “On the front page. Lucifer Morningstar.”

In no particular order whatsoever, Lucifer is given a strange bag by his recently-back-on-talking-terms brothers, plagued by weird dreams that keeps him up every night, and about to face the hellscape (hah, get it?) that is Heaven after ten thousand odd years of being barred from entering the pearly gates.
When a string of odd circumstances inevitably leads him on a detective hunt through Heaven, Lucifer must not only deal with the fallout of his past mistakes, but also face long-forgotten rivals as well as countless buried truths of the past regarding…well, everything. It is no easy task, but since when has his life ever been easy, anyway?
Oh, and there is also the rather inconvenient fact that the odds of Heaven and Hell breaking into all-out war might have just reached an all time high for the first time since Creation happened. He’d really have to hurry up if he didn’t want all of God’s creations to end up killing each other because of an ill-conceived plot.

His plan to put a secret love letter in Alastor's room was halted, instead he was feeling jealous of the man who was able to capture the heart of the untouchable, cold Radio Demon.
He thought he could be Alastor's first love but there was a promise that he had never claimed after his beloved's death. Until he met that first love, and damn. . .he can understand why the radio demon was smitten to that man.

Alastor’s other brow shot up to join the first.

Lucifer was left without his impromptu teleprompter when Alastor sent Vox flying with one of his shadow tentacles.

His phone pinged, a notification flashing across the lock screen. An email from HOCKEYPLAYERSLA. Curious, he unlocked his phone to check it out. A beginners hockey team, conveniently hosted in an ice rink just downstairs from his penthouse. Like, directly downstairs. The floor below the penthouse. How they managed to safely install an ice rink on the 34th floor of a building, he had no clue.
That wasn’t something for him to judge, though, clearly. He had other things to judge, instead. Like how the men on his TV were now- Oh, they were still making out. Alright then. He looked back down at his phone and continued to read through the email. Even more conveniently, it was being hosted in just twenty minutes from now.
