Summary
In which a deity comes to earth disguised as a human and gets tangled with a bunch of skeletons.
Athena had her own goals, her own secrets, and the skeletons had theirs too, but somewhere along the way, intentionally or otherwise, their paths just happened to cross, and whether they realize it or not, the more they intertwined, the more the foundation they built their facades on crumbled.
It was only a matter of time, really, before one of their walls collapsed, but until then, things are about to get real silly. Incredibly and stupidly silly.
[Has nothing to do with greek mythology; Reader sharing a name with the greek goddess Athena is pure coincidence]

Then a rather charming skeleton family moves in across the street. Undecided pairings - though likely many in related and unrelated chapters. Admitted bias for Red and Nox. Writing what I feel like, to be honest. So going to be very character-interaction driven with lots of fluff. …And probably smut (separated out if that's the case). Inspired by, and the first chapter just steals from, the Bonely Hearts Club’s original demo. Characterizations (especially Nox and Rus) are also influenced by “popatochisp”, amongst other authors. The world is on fire and I need feels-goods (also known as dopamine) damn it.

Summary
The world was turned on its head when monsters emerged from Mount. Ebott. Not only because of the whole other civilization that laid forgotten under the mountain, but the magic that was released with them. It didn't just change the world, it changed the people. Literally. Over a third of the world's population turned into monsters, horns and fur and tails sprouting from their skin. The lucky ones were further away from the mountains, their turning being gradual and generally painless.
You were unlucky enough to be in Ebott City when the monsters emerged. Your turning was recorded as one of the worst cases, turning you into a skeleton. The turning was so bad that you had stayed behind in the converted mental hospital for a full year, learning how to cope and adjust to your new form.
You can't stay forever, though, and it was now time to go out, to be released back out into the real world. It was time to get back to it. And you had a very generous house of monsters ready to welcome you in and help you get back onto your feet.

Now including a skeleton-house that is becoming VERY concerned for your mental wellbeing, (buried after the much-needed war-trauma,) you have to deal with a whole ‘nother group of wacky skeletons judging you. AGAIN.But… in order to have the best comfort fic, you sometimes need to have the worst angst beforehand.
Or, as Gaster once said… you need to break a few eggs in order to make an omelette. :]

At least, that’s what you thought until you were somehow pulled into another universe. Oh, but at least there are a few more skeleton monsters than there were in your last universe! You thought you were the last one. It’s nice to see some new boney faces. It's also a swell opportunity to hang up the ol' coat as a bounty hunter.
It's a little weird that all these new skeletons share names with your former targets though.
