    This is more or less spoiler free, but to give a rough setting:

    After the China arc and after Han Yoojin revealed “the truth” to Sung Hyunjae. It’s likely been a few weeks, but it’s a time of relative calm… at least for this found family. Han Yoojin finds it hard to escape with everyone he knows trying to keep him safe, making it impossible to get back to saving the world… and his long-lost brother.

    Thankfully his contractually obligated babysitter, business partner and… friend, Sung Hyunjae, is back from his trip to the US. Yoojin could finally be that brutally honest and unapologetically frustrated version of himself he could only let himself become in front of one person… perhaps a little too honest.

    On the surface, everything looks just as it always did. His girlfriend is still snoring peacefully on the pillow next to his, seemingly oblivious to whatever it was that had woken him up suddenly mid-slumber. Their little apartment looks just like it always did, small and cozy and theirs, with trinkets littered on the shelves and a couple of articles of clothing spilling from the laundry basket.

    That's right, it was his turn to go down to the laundromat, he'd have to do it tonight after getting home from work. Speaking of work, he takes a glance at his alarm clock. It is too early to wake up, and yet too late to try to go back to sleep, so he gets out of bed and puts his slippers on and heads to the kitchen.

    He'd get started on breakfast then, since he couldn't fall asleep. He cracks open the fridge and takes a look inside. The eggs are right there, right next to Yejin's favorite soda and his favorite beer, just as they had been yesterday.

    There's something missing, his brain insists, something that should be there but isn't.
