Toya places a gentle hand on Akito’s neck, sliding it up to turn Akito to look at him again. “Aki, my love,” he starts, and his voice is so kind that Akito wants to cry, “you already do more than enough. No one wants anything else from you. These thoughts you’re having, they’re not true at all.”
“I know, just…” Akito raises his hand to hold Toya’s on his face. He feels his voice crack, and it disgusts him. “It’s hard to believe that. I want to, but my head is so loud. I’m never going to be enough for myself.”
Toya slips his other hand under Akito’s waist, pulling him closer so their bodies are almost touching. “If you aren’t enough for yourself,” he presses their foreheads together, “please just know that you’re enough for me.”

Akito should’ve seen this coming, he worked to the point of exhaustion for the past few months trying to prove his value to ArataFeeling an itch in the throat, the fellow coughs with his hand covering as not to get it on his beloved Akito, only to reveal petals of white carnations in his hand.
Feeling his throat feel scratchy and unable to breathe he grabs a tissue to cough only to find blood and a mixture of edelweiss flowers and daisies. Last time It was only flowers, why is there blood now? Last time… Last time was 2 weeks ago? 1 week? A few days ago?
Toya wanted to just hug him and kiss him on the forehea- wait what?! Kiss him? No, no that’s impossible, Akito would never love someone like him.
