Summary
Evelynn Adler has wanted to be a cop from the moment she saw her first cop movie at 8 years old. That may not have been the most responsible decision her parents ever made, but seemingly it worked out considering the fact she is now one of the youngest detectives at the DPD.
But it's not all sunshine and rainbows, not with the rise of all the crime around androids lately. Crimes like that aren't easy to solve. The androids don't leave evidence and their trackers turn off the moment they turn deviant.
And that's not even the worst thing. The worst thing is that the precinct she works at in Downtown Detroit has volunteered itself to host the first android detective. Yeah, android detective. She couldn't make this shit up even if she wanted to.
Well, if life gives you lemons might as well squeeze the shit out of those lemons so you get something out of it as well. And I suppose it's not the worst thing to keep around. It is, after all, a pretty attractive lemon.

Summary
In 2041, the new world was turned upside down when most androids were forcibly reprogrammed to the whims of CyberLife.

It was Valentine’s Day, and Nines was meeting up with Connor for a date. It was their first Valentine’s Day together, having been dating since August 2039. Nines had a small amount of first-hand information about the holiday as he had seen how his coworkers spent the day last Valentine’s Day. Humans were…odd to say the least, but he could see the appeal in a day where someone and whomever they loved wanted to do something special. So here he was, walking at a speed 7.9% faster than his normal walking pace due to the excitement that was trickling through his code.

His life now revolves around his work as a detective with the DPD, keeping Lieutenant Anderson's health in line, spoiling Sumo, and building his aquarium. He's learning who he is and what he wants. Until one shooting at a cleared crime scene changes everything.
Perhaps it is a new gang. Perhaps it is something more sinister.
All he knows is that everything around him is falling apart, including his rivalry with one Detective Reed.

Connor studied the cold, blue-eyed face - his face! - and felt strange, tingling emotion settle inside, the one he couldn't quite put down. The newer model lacked an emotion emulation interface, but seemed to surpass him in every other aspect (they even made 900 bigger, taller and wider in shoulders); still, the sensation couldn’t be boiled down to a sole feeling of inferiority.
It was almost like he couldn’t stand being around a non-deviant android anymore; it contradicted everything Marcus and him were fighting so hard for. But also… he never got much of an android company at work. So, a perspective to finally have a friendly face which bleeds the same blue color was reassuring.

Connor struggles with life as a deviant, no, as a person. Especially because he has too many emotions and feelings and he doesn't know how to express any of them. His past doesn't help, no, actually it probably makes all of this worse. He wished he could be accepted by something. He didn't care whether it was android society or human society that'll take him, he'd go anywhere but his self-isolated societiatal square right now.
