Summary
Jaskier, a royal pleasure slave, isn't exactly happy with his lot in life—he's having sex with less than desirable nobles at a pace nobody would want—but he's learned to be content with it. Things could be a lot worse.
On occasion, Radovid sends him away to bestow his services on nobles who aren't stationed at court. During one such trip Jaskier witnesses the murder of a noble he was supposed to be pleasing, and sees the faces of the assassins; to keep him from identifying them to the authorities, Jaskier is taken with them when they leave, and finds himself held in the royal palace of Rivia. Life in Rivia is anything but what Jaskier would have expected and both the king of Rivia and his right hand are unlike any nobles Jaskier has ever known; the more time he spends with them, the more he realizes that they might just be what they seem to be—good men.

It was early.
The first greens of spring had just breached the wet thaw of Kaedweni winter. The wind, while calmed, still held her icy nip, and dredges of hard-packed snow, not quite anchored to the ground, nevertheless were frozen -- floating atop the grass in stiff, crumbling rafts. Long, oppressive nights still clung to the sky, and the surrounding ridges were yet prone to slumping avalanches of snowmelt on the unwary traveler -- not that there were any, outside the rare snow hare or witcher.
So it was not only early, but distinctly and noticeably early (much to his brothers’ delight and his eternal chagrin), that Geralt of Rivia shook himself of his winter coat and began to pack.

When Geralt abandons Jaskier after hunting dragons, he does not yet know that his attempts to resist fate and his own feelings will lead to irreparable consequences. Five years later, he holds Cirri in his arms - a child of fate, loneliness and an aching feeling in his chest, demanding to find his omega. But Jaskier has been dead for a long time, perished on that mountain, or so they just say…
AU In which Jaskier is pregnant with Geralt’s child and doesn’t have time to tell him before they fight. But he is no longer going to impose his presence on the witcher, which leads to him being left alone with a child in his arms, in a world where omegas are treated no better than cattle. He almost dies trying to preserve the little life inside himself until an unexpected ally saves him from the inevitable.
What will Geralt do when his wanderings lead him to a house on the outskirts of a small town, the owner of which turns out to be a famous bard, whose son is so similar to Geralt himself?

According to anyone who is anyone within the Ton, when Julian Alfred Pankratz made his debut into society, he was practically guaranteed to make the best match of the season. Beautiful, educated, witty-- a young prodigy in the musical arts-- and coming from one of the most respectable families in Redania, he had all the makings to be declared a Diamond of the first water.
But all of that changed when his illness began.
Plagued by fits of panic and hysteria that seemingly had no cause, Jaskier was forced to remove himself from society for two years. Now returned to the city, he is desperate to find an alpha before the season is up and he is declared a spinster. The only problem is that he's old news, prospects are few and far between, and he may not be quite as recovered as he's led his parents to believe.

It's been about a decade of traveling with Geralt now, and Jaskier already misses him as he watches him go down the path in the opposite direction.
Too bad the RSS and Stregobor need a suitable specimen for their experiments--to create the next race of mutated humans, this time to be political pawns. Jaskier doesn't know it, but it will be much longer than one season until he sees Geralt again.
