Humans are simple and complex at the same time – both predictable and unpredictable. It all depended on what the topic was.The most predictable things are their need for power and the need for control. When humans feel like these things are being threatened in even the smallest ways, they’ll stop at nothing to make themselves feel superior again.
Another predictable, yet a little less so, was slavery. Humans have always had slaves, ever since the very first recorded history of time.
So, yeah, you weren’t surprised. You weren’t surprised humans felt threatened by monsters. You weren’t surprised when humans felt the need to remind themselves that they were the most powerful. You weren’t surprised when humans took control of the situation. You definitely weren’t surprised about the slavery.
