Asha, a newly turned 18-year-old girl living in the kingdom of Rosas, is the apprentice of their beloved King Magnifico and an aspiring sorceress. This beloved Kingdom has what most people like to call a wishing system. Citizens who have just turned 18 or are already 18 and older give their greatest desire to the king and a chance for that desire to be granted. This time, it's Asha’s turn to give up her wish: master magic and become like the man she idolizes, but it unexpectedly ends in disaster. A distressed Asha, remembering the words of her late grandfather about turning to the stars for help, makes a plea to the wishing star above. It comes down in the form of a playful and mischievous Starboy eager to fulfill her wish. Initially distrusting him, Asha slowly uncovers the king's lies and the flaws in the so-called effective wishing system.

But continuous moments of despair led her to make a hesitant but passionate plea to the stars —if there were any. Yet a star still answered, and it was not just any star; it was the same star she had once met in her dreams from childhood. Together with the star, Zahra discovered what lengths people will take to keep holding onto their wishes, why they even wish for the things they wish for, and how these wishes can start stories that may or may not be realized.

Behind the castle doors, the two rulers have been taking control of people's wishes, choosing who really deserves happiness or misery. Feeding on the hopes and dreams of their citizens, quietly gaining power that soon becomes insufficient. Magnifico's true goal is to harness infinite power. To catch a star.
Not all the citizens are fooled, as a group quietly fled from Rosas into "The Uncharted Forest", but they could only hide for so long. Asha, a young woman of 18 who grows restless in the village and wants to venture back out into the world, but still has fear of Magnifico finding her family.
In an act of desperation, she wishes upon a star for a miracle. Her wish is granted, but not in the way she expected: A star comes down to Earth, taking the form of an excited, shape shifting, teenage boy. Together, the duo (and Valentino) travel to Rosas to restore the wishes to their rightful places. Star has no idea what he's doing....but he'll try. 😅

And is surprised to be answered by a Boy from “the star realm”!
And with The Star boy on Asha’s side, they set off to save the people of Rosas!

A Wishing Star.In the kingdom of Azhar, Asha is the apprentice to the sorcerer and King, Manus. Ever since he granted her wish to learn magic, Asha has been attempting to aid him in his quest for greater power, so he may further grant the wishes of his people. Asha believes in him and the queen firmly.
Until the King resorts to using what he promised to protect in the hope to finally achieve his goals, and Queen Anastasia does nothing, leaving Asha at a loss.
She knows the story of Wishing Stars, a faded tale from days of old. In her moment of desperation, Asha makes a wish, a wish for her to ensure a safe future for her home. And it is answered.
But by calling upon this mystical being, Asha has just achieved what Manus has been trying to for many years, and he has proved he will do anything to gain the power of the stars. And with Anastasia at his side, there is little that stands in his way of doing so.
Now the fate of Asha, the Star, and indeed all of Azhar lies in the unknown.Disclaimer that this is absolutely more an AU than a rewrite - I've taken many creative liberties with this story.

Asha had believed in the King and Queen. They adopted her after her parents and Saba were killed after all and protected the kingdom from traitors while being wishkeepers. She remembered how Saba talked about them, how every month a wish would be granted, but he also talked about how one should be able to lead their own self. As he talked the gem on his necklace would glow brightly, always bringing comfort. The very necklace that the King and Queen promised he they would keep safe, they even put it in a glass case in her room where she can see it shine anytime, but unable to open. She saw firsthand the power they got from the wishes, and as their daughter, the job to be able to meet new people and introduce them to Rosas was put on her, so if they told her that the magic from the wishes can give her strength, it should be fine right? It was just a little bit after all. But learning that her "parents" aren't really as kind as they seem, she finds herself lost and alone without knowing if there was a way to save the kingdom or herself. She resorted to something she found both ironic and ridiculous, wishing on a star, yet when she does, a glowing figure appears before her.
Will her guilt come to haunt her in the end?

With the belief that the prince of stars was not cursed, which is why the sky is still littered in his radiance—"
"Are the sun and moon gone forever?" asked the boy, his ocean eyes sparkling against the candlelight.
"Of course, they're not; legend says, the star prince is still looking for a way to break the curse, so until then... His stars will be up there, shining for us,"

I'm writing this because I'm simply a little disappointed with Wish; they could've done better, not saying I can, but it just wasn't like the classics, this probably won't be either, but I'm just trying something out.

The room beyond the door wasn't what she'd expected. A mirror, as large as a pond and just as clear, made up the floor at the center. Runes ringed the inside of it and glowed faintly green in the dark.
But Asha didn't notice the runes, or the binding nature of them. She would later.
The boy stood in the center of the mirror, staring at her with wide gold eyes, as transfixed as she was. His hair floated around his ears as if he were underwater and his whole body seemed to shine with a dim golden glow. His cloak fell to the floor in a cascade of gold to lavender.
He spoke. "You're not Magnifico."
