Summary
Jessica was not against the anti-toy law; she thought toys were unproductive. She also found Kris Kringle inconvenient, as he distributed toys and was too energetic. The two respected each other but formed an implicit enmity, and as time went by, they got to know each other better.
Kris Kringle thought the anti-toy law was silly, but he had to deal with accepting it. In addition to becoming a weirdo to the residents of Sombertown, Kris didn't had much of a sense of selfishness, and he realizes this as he interacts with the townspeople. -

Merry Christmas everyone here is my little attempt at an "Alternate Ending" for the Classic 1970 Special "Santa Claus is Comin' To Town" from Rankin Bass. Just as Grimsley and his soldiers were about to arrest the Kringles, Tanta reveals that now that the Winter Warlock is no longer terrorizing the countryside they were able to get some help. Namely Royal Soldiers from the King who now place the Kringles under their protection. In which now the Captain of the Royal Guard takes Grimsley to Sombertown to free Kris Kringle and give the Burgermeister plenty of comeuppance.
I admit I wasn't entirely sure what to do with the ending since I wasn't going to completely override the original ending but overall I do feel pretty good with how this turned out so what do you folks think?

Am I the only one who sees similarities between Miss Jessica and Carol Newman? No? Just me?
The Santa Multiverse is real, and there are a few variations. Here is one alternative timeline (and my favorite cannon). 'The Santa Clause' was established many years ago in the early 1400s by the first Santa Claus, Kris Kringle, and his wife Jessica. Bernard grew up very close to Kris, Jessica, and their son Kluger. When Bernard became the head elf, he made sure to protect and help the future Santa as best he could, to honor Claus's name. Bernard took his job of protecting and working as Santa's right-hand man VERY seriously.
Years later in the late 1900s, Scott Calvin was established as the new Santa and now must choose a wife. Bernard meets Carol Newman and finds himself recalling his past with another Mrs Claus he loved so long ago. Their relationship is strained due to hard feelings that Bernard does not wish to feel, but thanks to a little Christmas magic (and the power of communication) he is able to confront his past and make way for a better future.
