Summary
Sometimes, all Saturn wanted to do was chop all his hair off.
Rip it out until it barely reached his shoulders- oh, how light that would feel! To throw away his jewels and let his limbs be free. To no longer drown in the flowy fabric and instead wear something loose, something that didn't compliment his waist and allowed him to move more comfortably. To be rid of his makeup, and be able to express his emotions as he wanted without fear of staining his face.
To be rid of his rings. To no longer needing to look at them everyday, to no longer wonder why his memory failed him everytime he looked at them... to no longer be called beautiful because of it.
How in the stars was Saturn the pretty one?

Theia sniffled, and Proto pulled her in closer, petting the back of her head. “I just… I just want life so badly, it hurts,” she whispered, and Proto nodded. “I want to be something more, something special and unique. I want to be able to care and nurture something as delicate and precious as life. I want to watch it grow and differ and love and think, and I want it to be mine. I know it’s possible, I feel it in my core. I just…” a sob escaped from her lips, “I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Why do Mars and Aphrodite have oceans but not I?”
Or, Earth has questions. Theia has answers.

Earth's breathing slowed, eyes fluttering shut, Theia's warm and safe spirit wrapping around him. It felt softer than any other hug he’d ever had from Luna or Mars or Mercury, filled with a new kind of love. Out of habit and because it just felt right, Earth leaned into it. Theia giggled, Proto–Earth's deep chuckle accompanying it and oh my stars he has never felt such a strong connection to beings he literally just met.

Their solar system was hauntingly quiet.
From the moment the Sun had stopped his hysterical screams and cries that haunted Jupiter even in his dream, everything had just.... gone silent. Awfully so.
It felt wrong to break the fragile silence.
Each of the rocky planets had been returned to their orbits personally by Jupiter himself when they cried themselves out- both to make sure they didn't try and get close to what remained of Proto and Theia as well as to just... see.
See what was left.
Because Jupiter hadn't been able to make himself look properly earlier.

Everyone loves to say that all the crazy stuff started when Neptune asked “Why does Saturn have rings?” Although it’s fair to believe that, I don’t think we can really blame Neptune. He wasn’t trying to cause anything, was just curious. There was nothing malicious, but there was someone who did… Earth. When he met Titan, he got self-conscious, and said “Moons should know their place”, which would lead to Titan and co starting the moon revolution, moon club, system trials, Planet X, Theia, ect. But what if… he never said that? Would the tensions already around the moons still cause a revolution? Would Planet X ever return to the solar system? Would Earth face the memories of Proto and Theia? If so, how would they change? Here is my take.
