Summary
The Hyrulian royal family passes down power from mother to daughter, a bloodline that has gone unbroken for millennia. In the rare instance a son was born to the family they would not be recognized as a prince. Instead they would be fostered by a royal knight and his family. This was seen as a far more kind outcome than the old practice of infanticide practiced before the era of the Hero of Legend.
When Hyrule falls to the Calamity so to die the old ways, the old laws, the old religion. The people of this new Hyrule see no reason to cling to archaic traditions when the one that helped stop the Calamity and save Hyrule would have been scorned. Instead they embrace him and support him.
Efforts to rebuild have begun and the Chain show up to add Wild to their group.

He looked around, searching for the shadow as if he’s nearby and Legend could feel the pain he was dealing. It was like, like him where he kept searching around for a seagull that had a beautiful voice like her after Koholint.
“Sadly, he’s not with me right now. I’ve met him during my first adventure when I was 10. He was at this place called the Palace of the Four Sword. It might be a long story but would you like to hear it?”———

Four sticks around because the cafe lets him sit as long as he wants and he gets unlimited refills of his small black coffee for just three rupees a day. The place is dry and warm and gives him a space to work on applications. It helps that the staff is nice, but Four stays here for hours because he doesn’t have anywhere else to go. He didn’t even realize he tended to come in when this woman was here.
But he can’t tell her that. He doesn’t want to embarrass her. So he smiles back, eyes flickering down to check her nametag. Erune. “Yeah, actually. I’d love to.”
