Seeking a pleasant trip down memory lane, a Touhou Project fan downloads a seemingly unassuming ROM hack sent to him by an old friend. The ROM hack, for all he knows, is a simple Windows port of the PC-98 video game Touhou Kaikidan ~ Mystic Square. During his gameplay, though, he unexpectedly excavates the existence of something undeniably malevolent lurking under the game's innocuous surface…
This is a retake of another creepypasta titled Touhou 5: Dark Square, which was written by a user under the name of Shinkilovania.
