Of all the reactions Blitz thought he’d get, fear wasn’t one of them. The imp raised his hands and approached the, clearly, wounded animal. “Whoa, Stolas, easy. I just came to check on you.”
“I’m fine,” Stolas said quickly, pupils disappearing into bottomless reds. The owl was trying to unwind the cable to the IV which was connected to a clear bag by his hospital bed. “You should go.”
Blitz winced and stepped back. Never, never had Stolas told him to leave.
