Summary
Stan Pines and good decisions go together like oil and water. His latest bad decision? Going home for Hanukkah. Blame it on a phone call, a guilty conscience, or just plain stupidity. Whatever the reason, Stan's rusty El Diablo is pointed towards Jersey, and there's no turning back now.
Snow's falling, tempers are rising, and Stan's stuck in the middle. Happy freaking Hanukkah.

Summary
The first cage he finds has a sign on it.
It’s made out of old driftwood and it reads: “Deadly! Do not open!”
Stan reads it a few times. The words have been written with red paint which has smeared across the sign in a few places. The writing is hasty and barely legible, as if it was done in a moment of great hurry or panic. The red paint and the occasional splatters make it look like blood and the numbness in Stan’s brain recedes long enough for him to snort a derogatory laugh and roll his eyes.
His brother can be so dramatic.
**********
After the portal incident, Stan frees all of Ford's specimen. He thinks that's the end of it.
He couldn't have been more wrong.

Summary
Stanley Pines considers himself to be a relatively normal person. That is, until a magical god-axolotl starts talking with him. Affectionately nicknamed "Ax," the benevolent deity seems to be some sort of expert on getting Stan to say things he normally wouldn't, leading him to becoming more well-adjusted than he is in canon.

Summary
The apocalypse happening in his lifetime was not something Stanley had ever expected. And really, as if his life didn’t already suck enough. Now the world had a new triangular dictator ruling over it, and in the chaos society had become, Stan only had three goals:
- Survive.
- Try to find Ma and Shermie.
- Avoid his now evil twin brother who had apparently been the one to enable the whole weirdmageddon thing to begin with.
Number three was turning out to be the most difficult. Having become Bill’s right-hand man, Ford had gone and broadcast Stan’s name and face world-wide, right alongside a hefty reward for Stan’s successful capture. The fact that he was wanted alive wasn’t reassuring. Knowing Ford’s ability to hold a grudge, Stan figured it couldn’t mean anything good for him.
And he had a sinking feeling he was going to find out sooner than he’d like.

"He'll be careful, this time. He won't be suffocating. Maybe, if he—as unlikely as it is—manages to not fuck anything up this time around, Stanford won't hate him even more than he already does."

Summary
Arrested for petty crime, Stan expects to go on trial and end up in prison. It wouldn’t be the first time. He knows how it goes.
What he does not expect is for people to start treating him weirdly after one of his fuzzy-brain episodes. He does not expect to be acquitted on account of being deemed mentally incapable. He does not expect the court to rule he be placed under adult guardianship.
And he definitely does not expect when it’s his estranged twin brother who shows up as his new guardian.

“Said… I’m fine—”
“You’re clearly not!” Ford squeaked. He knocked again. “Stan!” No words, just a heavy thunk noise from inside the bathroom. Then— silence. Fuck. “Stan, are you alright?! W-What happened— just please let me in!”
Suddenly, the lock clicked. Ford swung the door open and nearly keeled over with a gasp.
“Oh my god…Lee?”

He recognizes the hot metal he’s sitting on from a dent in the passenger’s side.
Ford had made it when Stan had jokingly threatened to roll the top down when it was pouring rain. It had been a joke until the button got stuck and the top actually did try and lift off. Ford had to hold onto it the entire ride home or it would have flown off in the storm. They had both been soaked to the bone and shivering by the time they made it back to the pawn shop.
The top of the Stanmobile isn’t the only thing that night that had six fingered marks on it.

Summary
“Are they like you?” Ford asked, unsure of the answer he was waiting for. “Those kids.”
Stan let out an exasperated laugh. “I’d fucking hope not. I wouldn't want that fate on my worst enemy, especially not these kids.” His hands tightened around the bars of the rail. “They're better. They're everything you all wished I was. Well, except my youngest. Kid’s a little shit, you know how I was.”
Ford hadn't had the chance to read the name plastered on the boat. No longer did Stan name it what he thought he would. The Worthwhile. “These kids,” Stan continued, seeming to give no heed to Ford’s realization. “After that happened, it's like I put on glasses. Except I couldn't figure out whether everything was blurry or clear. Now?” They heard the distant laughter of Stan's family on the boat, surely a future memory they'll look back on fondly.
“I think I’m finally seeing things clearly for once.”
