He gave up soon enough, throwing the papers onto the desk as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Nope, not a single script for the 'Stanley Clips Through The Ceiling and Ends Up In The Narrator’s Office Ending'. Well, isn't that just fantastic?"
The Narrator plopped down in his chair in a way that bordered on the theatrical, a low sound of defeat escaping him.
"Damn it all, Stanley," he said, gaze fixed on the ceiling as if he couldn't bear to look Stanley in the eye.
"I didn't want to have to do this, but we'll have to go completely off script until I sort out this mess you've…we've made. Should be no problem for you, you're a master at improvising."
