He could so easily see Rodney dead.
John blinked hard, tried to focus on what Rodney was saying, but he was bringing up another dead man, and John was so tired of being surrounded by—haunted by—dead men.
So Rodney said, “Can I come in?” and John said, “No.”
John has a bad habit of hiding all his other feelings behind snark. Rodney has a bad habit of believing he can do anything. Have they pushed each other too far away this time? (Trinity, except there’s smut at the end.)

Summary
The episode Conversion had obvious missing scenes with John and Rodney since they were the characters with the most to lose. The writers gave hints in the subtext as to what went on between them during this time but nothing was shown mostly focusing on Sheppard's interactions with everyone else. These scenes are my attempt to bring those missing pieces to the forefront for the beginning of John and Rodney's mending of their broken relationship.
