He tries to involve Gibbs and the director, both blocking his reprimands of the junior agents and/or telling him to suck it up. This leads to Tony spiraling in a way he never has before, not even after Danny was found to be dirty. It results in Tony attempting to commit suicide. Luckily, his true friends find him, not that Team Gibbs or the rest of the FBI knows, and whisk him away. The fallout is spectacular.
