This is where fear flipped back to anger. He started to forget that this was all interpretation and hypotheticals; Basil had purposely put Sunny in this situation, just to bind them together with the same fucked up secret. In his head Sunny lived out nights where they had left Mari in her bed, or hadn’t touched her body at all and left it at the bottom of the stairs for his parents to find; if that had happened, maybe he could have been getting the help he needed instead of freaking out every day. Maybe he could have talked about how afraid he was of losing the people he cared about instead of being even more isolated from them. Maybe...maybe…
Sometimes when he was alone, Sunny ruminated on these maybes until his blood boiled. Then it warped right back around to fear, because anger was what caused this all to happen in the first place, right?

AU where Sunny is given his violin when he turns 15, the year canon is set in. The same events unfold but everyone is a little older, and handles them a little differently.

sunny is about to move away, but he gets a call from his mother saying that the move has been canceled. they end up regaining friendship w their childhood friends and reveals their past. they forgive him and hes ready to move on from it and continue his life, but his mom tells it that the move is back on and that they will be moving in two weeks. sunny tries to make the most of those two weeks and get their friends numbers, but it is sad about the move. he is also still dealing his own problems and health issues. basil and sunny end up helping each other out over the time period sunny hasn't moved and their friend group continue talking online. basil and sunny are dating. but basil has a secret he isnt telling sunny, which is that he is still repressing his trauma and isnt taking sunny's advice. he is also lying about feeling better behind sunny's back, but eventually basil and the crew get to visit sunny irl for a week and basil rid of all of his bottled up emotions by telling sunny what has been going on this whole time. sunny is not mad but instead spends all their time with basil and helping him, along with hanging out with other friends. basil still leaves with trauma, but less than before.

What's the worst thing that could happen?
Ever since playing Chapter ??? I've been wondering how Basil knew how to tie a noose as a 12 year old. This is my own personal answer to that question.
