Summary
A collection of poems and short stories I did for Terrifying Tolkien Week 2017.
1. All Shall Fade (even the great Fëanor): A poem about Fëanor's legacy, his scars, and his sons.
2. Stars Hide Your Fires: A poem following a Maia of Varda being hunted by Ungoliant for her light
3. Wild Hunt: Another poem, this one on a nightmare of Mairon’s after Melkor has entered the Void (angbang)
4. The Iron Price: My last poem, from Melkor's point of view as he makes love to Mairon and laments his marred form (also angbang)
5. Beauty is Terror: A short musing on a work of art of Annatar I did.
6. Blood is Thicker Than Water: Mairon's last moments in Numenor (warning: exceptionally gory and angsty)
7. nothing because I dropped the ball on the last day... maybe I'll fill it later? -

Something stood in the doorway of the council chambers, something that wore a too familiar face but that was where any resemblance ended. The air grew cold, as if the very warmth of the sun had been snatched from the world.

Summary
When the Battle of the Five Armies was won and its victors began laying down the foundation for their hard-won future, many saw it as a turning point, a vision of a long awaited return to a golden age.
With the combined work of Men, Elves, Dwarves, and one Hobbit it took five years for the region to regenerate to a point of some sustainability.
But in T.A. 2946 Erebor had unknowingly began its slow descent into pandemonium.

These thoughts are a distraction in the forge, eyes flicking up to that face looking for something, anything. It was a trick of the light and nothing more but every fiber of his being screams that it was not.
