Sat on the curb, they shared a joint and talked about Nietzsche. And then he never attended a Bouchard family event again.
Gwen had felt a little regret at that – but more relief.
Now, she leaned back against cold brick, and breathed in through her nose and out through her mouth. “Stupid,” she muttered. “Absolutely mental. Get a grip, Gwen.”
