Summary
In another life, maybe Jon escaped. Maybe his friends came for him. Maybe another Avatar decided to “rescue” him for their own purposes. Maybe the Web had other plans for him. Maybe in another life none of this ever happened at all. But in this world Jon Sims died screaming, bleeding out as he was skinned alive, his last thought a ragged and disjointed “make it stop”.
An AU of the Unknowing, Where Jon didn't escape and Nikola went forward with her plan.

It looks like the Sasha he once knew, the one who worked in Artefact Storage when he was in Research. It also looks like the one who held him and wiped away his tears and frustrations, all with a plastered smile.
He can’t trust his memory to tell him which is the truth.
“The other one,” he says, breathless. “It killed you.”
“No.” Her voice is seared into his memory. Her smile flickers. “It only took me.”

Do you know why dolls are scary? It’s because they’re so close to being human, but they’re not. It’s all psychological. See, from a young age, we have to learn to distinguish what a face is and then if that face has a mind. It gets easier as we get older. But dolls imitate a human’s face so perfectly that it causes us to search for a mind where there is no mind. That’s what scares people, but not me. My fear started with a game.

Summary
In which Jon and Elias were always destined to find each other, no matter what.
---
Elias flexed his hand before wrapping it around the handle to a cup of steaming coffee. He noted the red string that dangled from his pinky finger. It lay strewn across his desk and the floor, disappearing under the crack of his office door.He could always see this red string - the red string of fate, some people liked to call it. They believed the other end was attached to one of your soulmate's fingers. Elias scoffed at the thought, his nose twitching minutely in disgust. He had better things to do - better things to worry about than some fate bound string that simply would not disappear. Elias has been around for a long, long time. The string wasn't always there, no, but some thirty years ago it showed up, and Elias simply brushed it off. [...]
Elias remained utterly indifferent towards the string until one day a stammering researcher with nicely colored green eyes bumps into him.

When Jon was promoted to Head Archivist, he quit smoking. He'd been meaning to drop the habit for ages, for his health and for his wallet. He still kept a pack in his bag, but gave his lighter (cheap, plastic, disposable) to Tim. Sometimes he joined Tim outside on his lunch break, listening to him talk and pretending not to savor the secondhand smoke.

"Leitners. Well, we think. Just had Eliot pull them from the library to be safe. Destined for Artefact Storage."
Tim snaps Floral Emblems shut and replaces it atop the precarious stack on what used to be Sasha's desk.
There's a tickle in the back of his throat.

Summary
Sasha James has an almost regular life, and it would have continued that way if it wasn't for the Hill Top Road incident...an incident that seems to have brought to her reality somethings that weren't there before.
Including an old 'friend' she is yet to meet.
Or: crazy one-shot about Sasha from a world were the fears are just brand new where, somehow, the Not-Them Jon's murdered is back...and they want certain place back.
(I suck at summaries, sorry) Just...if you like parallel dimensions: give me a chance! Pleaaase -

Summary
Tim shrugs. It’s better than explaining himself. Better than telling him that he’d been selfish, that he’d seen Jon curled up on the floor of the office and laid down next to him and pretended, for the minute that he’d had, that things were back to normal again. Pretended that they both had friends and homes and heartbeats. Not saying anything is better than saying that he’d grabbed Jon’s hand and it had been warm and he’d almost, almost felt something.

Summary
The tension in the air was so thick it felt hard to breathe as Tim stood in front of Martin, soon to leave for the Unknowing. Though neither of them could bring themselves to say it, perhaps for fear of falling apart right then and there, both of them knew that Tim wasn’t going to come back from this.

Summary
Martin was almost used to what they had to do now to survive - what Jon needed to do to survive. They sought out the monsters that plagued London, they got rid of said monsters, and Jon was fed and the world was a little brighter afterwards, or at least that's what he told himself to feel better about it. Going into The Stranger's lair was supposed to be just another one of those nights. Break in, endure a brief but intense struggle against primal fear itself, then leave the place and its inhabitants all in a smouldering heap.
If only it had been that simple.

Summary
Feel the heat so we started running
You know you saw it coming
But the memories are still in my mind
Burning like smoke and fire
Tim jumped in fear, spinning toward the sudden sound behind him. “Get away from me!” he cried. The clown that wore Basira’s face muttered some half hearted protest - an attempt to trap him, to take his skin.
“I’m not one of them” it slurred out, its voice a cheap facsimile of a human.
