He’d erased someone.

Across the mock city block, the “villain” bots lay in smoking heaps, their training rounds untouched. The observation drones above sparked and dropped from the sky one by one, as if something had reached into their code and flipped them off like light switches.
Then he appeared.
A man in a black suit, tie perfectly straight, hair neatly combed. Perfectly average height, perfectly average features. He looked like he should be standing in a bank, asking if they wanted to open a savings account.
Instead he stepped through falling debris like it didn’t exist, hands folded behind his back.

Dennis couldn't remember the last time he had been present in a space that wasn't cleaned of him. It might have had something to do with a more conservative upbringing, or the plethora of children inhabiting a house built for Christian magazines. White walls, white counters, white tile. If he'd stayed, he'd be wearing his white shirts, an outward manifestation of the clean body underneath.
Otherwise known as Dennis's religious trauma, leading to him living as a Beta. He becomes obsessed with Robby and Jack because their scents can get through his thoroughly abused nose and set his hormones ablaze. The night they spent together should have been a one time thing, it should have been enough to Robby find peace of mind after weeks having to resist the feelings and thoughts haunting him, but then Dennis came back. They should never interact again, but Dennis is now a Psychiatric resident, and somehow he is almost always around. Now Robby has to spend time seeing the boy being a competent physician and making him remember how he tasted and sounded like.
Omitting is not lying, at least Dennis likes to think that way. If he hid some facts to get in his attending’s bed, it was between him and God. But Dennis never counted with the factor that a one night stand would not take the feelings away. Now he is back in Pittsburgh and sees Robby all the time, being hot while commanding the ER in a way that is a threat to Dennis’s mental health.
Or the one where Robby and Dennis fight the urge to get freak in every ER’s room while falling in love in the process.
