Like, they were all some of my firsts but I was just another number."Robby couldn't help but think about sitting on the Pediatric floor, having the worst breakdown he'd had in months, and Whitaker gently sitting next to him and guiding him out of it. He knew, now, that this was Whitaker's breakdown. Robby was never the best at consoling people unless they were having a medical emergency, but he figured he really wanted to try this time.

Dennis’ knee vibrates his backpack that rests against his shins in the dirty pick-up truck, Michael's warm and large hand covers his thigh. His thumb rubs soft circles on the inside, silently trying to comfort the younger man. It's too early in the morning to make conversation, and Dennis' anxieties are much higher than normal.
This isn’t like his normal rotations. This is the rotation that has been his biggest fear. Not only is everything so stressful but it is the rotation where he and Michael have to pretend to not know each other, and more.

“Eyes up, problem child!” A hand seized the back of his costume, yanking him out of the trajectory of another invisible shot. Aizawa’s goggles flashed, red targeting overlay reflected in the tinted lenses.
He’d erased someone.
But who?
Across the mock city block, the “villain” bots lay in smoking heaps, their training rounds untouched. The observation drones above sparked and dropped from the sky one by one, as if something had reached into their code and flipped them off like light switches.
Then he appeared.
A man in a black suit, tie perfectly straight, hair neatly combed. Perfectly average height, perfectly average features. He looked like he should be standing in a bank, asking if they wanted to open a savings account.
Instead he stepped through falling debris like it didn’t exist, hands folded behind his back.
“Target anomaly located,” he said, his voice eerily flat. “Subject: Midoriya Izuku. Designation: Glitch.”
Izuku’s heart stumbled.

The first couple of dollars that the machine ate up without remorse were an annoyance, something that made Dennis sigh and unzip his wallet without thinking about it to try again. By the time that the vending machine had eaten seven whole dollars, in coins, and Dennis didn’t have anything to show for it, he was close to thumping his forehead against the cool glass and hoping he could derive some sort of enjoyment or nourishment from simply just looking at the colourful packages as they remained firmly in their coils.
He didn’t often carry coins. Those were his last few dollars and he was woefully aware that somebody had offhandedly mentioned that the staffroom vending machine destroyed notes, so he wasn’t going to be getting a soda, a bag of chips or anything else that might settle his belly from the incessant grumbling it was doing.

Trinity let out a low whistle. “Oh, you are gone. You are absolutely gone.”
Dennis hid his face in a pillow. “I hate you.”
“You love me. Tell me more about your medically concerning reaction to our boss touching you.”
He grumbled into the pillow, “Let’s watch your movie”. His skin still sizzled with the ghost of Robby’s grip, and no amount of denial was cooling it down.
