Ash turned again, body jerking up to a sitting position, taking the sheets up with him, slightly exposing Red to the cold air outside the shelter of their atmospheric bubble. Red shut his eyes tighter, but just gripped onto the bottom of Ash's shirt as if he was leaving forever, as if it would do anything to keep Ash there.
It was pitch black, dark and he couldn't see 2 feet infront of him, even if it was life or death. Someone could be stalking him and plotting his or Red's death, or something.
Ash had to get to Red first. If anything, he'd rather kill Red than let anyone else do that. Every good partner thinks about murdering the other in cold blood and lying in bed with them as they stain the bed sheets red and bleed out, life slowly fading from them.
Or; Ash wakes up in the night after another strangely vivid dream about killing Red.
