Trying to keep him safe, learn control of these powers that he's found himself with, and somehow figure out a way to get home, all without getting caught by anyone and turned into a science experiment the way it always seems to go in the movies. It's not easy, and it doesn't get easier when you add in an over-protective mentor, a whole bunch of political drama, and a bunch of feelings that Spencer knows better than to even think about admitting to.
Spencer tries to cope with it all, while all the while working with this 'Dr. Strange' to try and figure out a way to get him back home. Only, as more time passes, he begins to question whether that's what he actually wants.

Negan watched, wide-eyed, as the man beneath him lunged forward with raw, animalistic fury and bit deep into the leader’s throat. Blood gushed, painting the dirt beneath them in crimson. The leader gurgled and choked, his hands flailing uselessly as life drained from his body. The man—his mouth and chin now coated in blood—spat out the flesh he had just ripped away and turned his burning gaze on the rest of the Claimers.
When it was over, only one remained, the Claimer holding the boy.
“He’s mine.” Said the man now covered down to his chest in blood.
The last Claimer started backing away, his hands trembling, his voice a frantic plea for mercy. Negan, breathing heavily, took a moment to assess the man who had torn out another’s throat with his teeth. His eyes weren’t wild. They were sharp. Focused. Controlled.
Negan stepped closer and extended Lucille toward him.
The man took the bat without hesitation, his fingers curling around the handle like it was made for him. Then, in one brutal swing, he brought it down, caving in the last Claimer’s skull.
