Summary
William is meant to be lying low. But he's gotten word of an old friend, well not really friend, more like aquaintance, in the area. And even thinking about the bloke gets his palm itching for the heavy weight of a railroad spike. They don't understand, he needs this, needs to end the last thread from his former life once and for all.

A very dark look at Spike's evolution. Exceptionally well written.

Summary
Originally written in 2004 when streaming music wasn't that popular
Starts seventy five years after ‘Not Fade Away’; Angel POV, goes back into the past a lot, hence the really messed up tenses. Title and Lyrics from ‘Under The Bridge” by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Many thanks to Estepheia for doing an amazing beta job. Any mistakes, especially in grammar and tense, are mine, not hers.
Rating: Hard R – NC-17, I guess; I suck at these things.
Dubious consent between two people who have known each other for far too long

Summary
If the horror of this unwanted change hadn't been so fresh, maybe Spike would have characterized Angel's new form as beautiful. He cut through the water with such grace, like some flying thing, like a dragon. Spike could hardly bear to look at him. He could hardly bear to look away.
*
When Angel is magically transformed into a mermaid-like creature, Spike must confront their communication issues head-on while simultaneously addressing their current missing girl case, making up for his latest colossal screw-up, and discovering what his place actually is in a world where there's only one vampire with a soul - him.
