Summary
At 8 years old Evan knew that life was not fair. He knew that just because you had a mom and a dad didn’t mean they had to love you. He knew that at 8 years old children were better seen and not heard. He knew the importance of keeping up an image, that everyone needed to believe everything was okay.
At 8 years old Evan also knew that in the middle of the night, when the world went to sleep and he laid out under the stars, there was more to life than the haunted house he lived in. He knew that the dreams he held onto in his mind couldn’t be harmed by the outside world. He knew that when the hyacinth and primrose bloomed each year the world had hidden beauties.
(Or: Despite everything Evan Buckley is head over heels for Edmundo Diaz and deserves good things.)

Hey there! I'm currently outlining a fic that I've been working through ideas of for writing, but my strong suit is descriptive writing. I'm hoping to find anyone interested in helping with the overall fic but whose strong suit is in dialogue writing. This is intended to be a slow-burn and I mean the slowest of slow-burn, post-BSHCI, fix-it fic that I have every intention of creating into a long fic. Everyone knew what had happened, everyone knew the story. However, no one knew the pain and struggle; the feeling of wanting to be clean. Rubbing and scratching the skin on your body to get rid of the touch. Showering too many times to count to get rid of the scent, but no matter what you do, it's still there.
He walked in, perfect as ever, the second most trustworthy person in my life; after my best friend of course. He made me smile, made me happy; made me who I am - what I am, today. Torn to shreds with little to no hope, screaming for the person I wanted more than anything to save me, save me from the monster he said he would never become, but I guess that's the thing about people; they lie. Every touch, smirk, and word engraved in my brain, even with the constant black outs and overdoses.
I escaped. 15 months in hell. I escaped. Running where I knew I would always be safe; protected. The few people who had been there for me since the beginning. I knew they would be there when I needed them; and I needed them.
The question that left me standing in the wake of the hospital doors;

Summary
St. Anthony’s was his last chance, and Evan knew that. He had been kicked out of five schools in the past six years, and after his sophomore year ended with a meeting between his parents and his last headmaster that could be summarized with: “we’re not kicking him out, but just know that Evan is not welcome back in September.” His parents wanted to send him to military school.
Evan knew he couldn’t survive military school, that would be his last drop, the one that finally shattered the vase. He couldn’t be the type of person that would be able to put himself back together once they broke him down.
This had to work.

Buck is the new kid in an El Paso boarding school, trying his best to stay out of trouble. Eddie is a rockstar (in the world of high school popularity) he's captain to the football team, he's dating the most popular girl in school, and looking at a full ride sports scholarship in the fall. He should feel like he won at life, which is why he doesn't understand why the only time he feels alive is when he catches a glimpse of the new guy on the running team.
