Summary
“A good heart is worth gold, Molls.”
Well, maybe he was right about that and maybe he wasn’t. Maybe he wasn’t because surely a good heart was worth its weight in love as well as gold, but hers didn’t seem to be all that valuable to anyone.
Molly Hooper has spent a very long time being there for everyone. A very long time giving her heart unconditionally. But can she carry on forever?- Language:

Perfect post TFP follow-up. Perfectly hits all my head canons (and created quite a few of them). In character, believable -- could be series 5

Summary
'Stomping up the stairs, Molly marched through the living room and straight to the kitchen, where she unceremoniously dumped the bag of food and wine onto the worktop. She knew a lot of it probably wouldn’t be eaten or drunk, she guessed she might not thank herself in the morning. But the thought of another Valentine’s like all the others was too much.'
Molly Hooper decides she's a bit done with the drama. Sherlock Holmes gets what's coming to him.

Summary
Stood in the frozen air, alone, with only his history and what it had taught him for witness, Sherlock allowed himself to fully acknowledge why looking at Molly Hooper was the single most glorious and painful element of his existence.
An important night at the end of an important year.

Summary
'Sherlock wasn’t too impressed with Anderson’s little stunt. He might be impressed with the authenticity and the detail, but a stupid gimmick was a stupid gimmick, and if Anderson thought this was the calibre of ‘puzzle’ which would tempt Sherlock away from his investigation then he was wrong. Even if he was the least bit tempted to ‘use (his) bloodhound instinct to navigate the maze blind or take advantage of Dr Watson’s brilliantly observed clues to solve the mystery of the puzzle box just like The Great Detective himself’, Sherlock calculated he had a maximum of twenty five minutes before Mrs Hudson missed the ham joint, and he wasn’t going to waste it on The Case of the Priceless Coin. Honestly. It’s a coin. Get another one.'
A gift he could do without reminds Sherlock of the things he cannot.
