Summary
Based on MotherOftheUniverse's Die in a Fire AU, in which Ford follows Stan as a ghost- one with the ability to grow alongside him.
Stan is exhausted to the point that he can't get out of bed, so Ford offers to help him get on his feet via possession (nothing they haven't done before). But when Stan decides that he doesn't want to take the wheel back, the boys have a bit of a talk.

Stan's spent years on the streets, doing unspeakable things to survive. But the last two have been the worst yet, between the need for any kind of drug in his system to dull the pain and the constant need to run in case someone found him it's been a real shit set of years.
He's tired and done with it all, would it really be that bad if he died? It's not like anyone would really miss him.
