In episode six of Earthspark, Bumblebee briefly mentioned how Soundwave was low on energon and he tried ejecting one of the cassette-bots only for them to explode.
This is that day, that tragic day where Soundwave's lack of self care and workaholic behaviour for weeks caused the unfortuante demise of Rumble.
The day that a part of Soundwave died.
