Juicy only meant to wander through the Everglades. A quick trip in and out.
But he was drunk. And the swamp had other intentions.
One slip, one missed step, one breath held too long.
He should have drowned. But he doesn't.

Being in the asylum was a severe detriment to the Boys' health, mental most of all. It's a battle to hold onto their slowly dripping sanity. They have each other to hold onto but it's a net quickly unraveling.

There are two parts of the story alternating each other: some chapters happen in the present and cover the case protagonists are trying to solve; some chapters are flashbacks with slowburn relationships.
