“I could kill Dream first,” Wilbur muses. His words are the scratch of a quill-pen on old parchment, the sound of an artist plotting his symphony. “But you know what, Tommy?”
All he can feel of himself is the shaking. The rest of him has dissolved into this void. “What,” he rasps, ash thick on his tongue.
“He’d hurt the rest of them so much more if he went free,” Wilbur says, his grin yawning wider than his face. “Aw, you’re shaky breathing again. What did I say?”Tommy spends months with his brother in the afterlife. This is why he doesn't want him back.

Summary
Before his duel with Dream, Tommy prayed. Tubbo found him kneeling on the path, hands crossed over his chest and resting on his shoulders, whispering to Prime, praying to win.
Tubbo sat down next to him. He always wondered how Tommy still had the energy to speak, still had that kind of stamina left inside, after losing a life not a day earlier. It took Tubbo days to stop feeling like his bones were made of rot. "Lady, master of my soul," Tommy whispered, "I kneel at your feet and ask for protection from evil. Save my spirit, if not my life, so I may continue to serve you after I am gone from this Earth, forever after."

They'll bury Tommy in the back of the Holy Land and, somehow, it will have to be enough.

Summary
Wilbur's hair and skin were muted imitations of their original hues, but the visage before him wasn't the grayed out, decaying face of a corpse: It was lifelike, flawless; an impossibly perfect porcelain re-creation down to the skin of his cheeks and nose being slightly darker as if flushed from the cold. When he realized Wilbur's hands were on his face, he realized his fingers weren't spectral wisps of cold air phasing through, but instead solid and clammy, fingertips still rough from guitar string callouses.
Estranged twins learn how the world works. Alternatively: Technoblade meets Ghostbur in retirement.
