He emphasised the word safe, spat the word out with so much offense that as if with enough strength, Damian could will his wish into existence and rewrite this cruel moment of Bruce’s past and morph it into something kinder, something more befitting for a man who will spend the rest of his adulthood covered in the same kind of bruises and walk the earth with bones broken ten, twenty times over from protecting a city that bites the hands that try to hold it with even the slightest hint of kindness and later, from protecting the whole world with the strength of his heart and the wit of his mind as his greatest weapon.

Summary
Some days, Vergil thought he should have let himself fall into Hell.
He had caught Dante’s hand by reflex, against his better judgement, against his pride. But once his brother held on, it had turned impossible to let go. The humiliation of defeat had tightened his chest with every step of their way back to the human world, filling the silence between them, burning away any words they had left. It stayed with Vergil long after he’d vanished, leaving Dante and the scorching memories behind.

The problem was that as soon as he did, there was a wave of demonic energy and suddenly she was staring down at a tiny blue and black devil nestling.
Eva stared. In the four months since the twins had been born, nothing like this had ever happened, and nothing she had ever seen even hinted that this could happen.
Dante didn't seem to share her shock. He babbled happily at his twin and clapped his hands before scrunching up his own nose and after several long moments sneezed as well, turning into a red and black devil nestling.----
Or, the one where being a half devil means that the twins can swap into either form at will. Their parents are surprised.

He’s utterly silent, eyes widening and shoulders dropping, before he pivots his body completely to face Dazai and his eyes narrow and rove over him. Dazai doesn’t flinch under the thorough inspection, just takes the shoes Kouyou offers him with poise and leans over to put them on.
He looks up at Chuuya while he’s running a finger across the back of the shoes to fit them to his feet, and smiles coquettishly from under his lashes. “Cat got your tongue?” Dazai rises, tucking a lock of long hair behind his ear. “Or are you just stunned to see me looking ten times better than you, even in drag?”
aka, I've seen so many fics where Chuuya has to reluctantly crossdress for a mission, so why not let Dazai have a turn for a change
