Summary
As usual summer before third year is really hard…
After an unfortunate incident with Aunt Marge, Harry finds himself staying with Snape and his live-in boyfriend of 12 years.
Only, Snape is just as awful as ever and his boyfriend is really cool and nice and makes Harry feel important… but as time goes on, it’s clear that all is not as it seems. Because Snape is actually… well, he’s not a decent guy, but he does care about protecting children from abuse, apparently.
But his boyfriend… It turns out that not all guys who seem good end up being good in the end. As he watches his professor’s relationship dissolve he can’t help feeling like an awful person for being an active participant in it.
It never once crosses his mind that Harry was being groomed and abused in a grossly different way than he was used to.
OR
Not only do old secrets get revealed, but Professor Snape’s boyfriend takes advantage of Harry while he’s staying there for the summer leading to shifts in perspective and possibly… healing?

Summary
The story begins after a devastating three-year war between light and darkness, leaving only Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore alive in a ruined Hogwarts. Their victory over Voldemort is hollow, with the wizarding world in ruins. Seeking another chance, Dumbledore proposes a dangerous ritual to send their souls back in time.
The ritual goes wrong, throwing them not into their past, but into a parallel universe. Here, Voldemort was defeated in 1981 by a different child: Daniel Potter, the celebrated “Boy Who Lived.” Meanwhile, Daniel’s twin brother, Harry, has been declared a Squib.
Dumbledore finds Harry, who is still bearing his old memories of war, and adopts him, giving him a new identity as Harry Dumbledore. Together, they begin a secret mission.

Summary
I had a plan. Return to the Dursleys while Thomas and my legal team worked the probate and family court angles. Keep the Dursley situation out of the papers. Simple. Easy. Then Cornelius Fudge spied an opportunity to publicly humiliate Dumbledore. My plan fell apart.
Now, I’m caught between my cousin, an occassional ally, and the enemy who altered my mind on such a fundamental level I may never completely recover. I need time to heal--the ministry labeled acromantulas known wizard killers for a good reason--put my head back together, and rediscover the boy Dumbledore tried to replace with the boy-who-lived, but time is running out. Neutrality may no longer be an option.
On Hiatus: Beginning April 28, this story will be on a 3-4 month hiatus. I love working on it and interacting with everyone here and pinky swear I'll return (with bells on). I'm self-employed and recently took on several major projects that will be consuming all of my work time, my free time, my walking the dog time, basically any spare minute I would've once devoted to things I enjoy but don't get paid to do. I hope ya'll have a wonderful summer. See you on the other side.
