Dan Feng glanced at him over his book, and scoffed quietly at the sight of the mess his friend made on his head.
"Would you stop complaining, idiot? You really start to sound like an old man too."
Yingxing only groaned in response, hiding his eyes in one hand.
He couldn't see the way the dragonkin kept observing him, wanting to smooth out the dishevelled hair. Even his hand, holding the open book, budged, as if he tried to reach out.
Dan Feng lowered his head at once, and scoffed again, but this time, the one he mocked was himself.

In celebration of HSR version 3.6 and Yingxing's first appearance in-game (I haven't started the quest yet, but I got spoiled and it made me way too excited) let me share the Yingfeng story I've been writing since May 2024 - and may Aeon of Fanfiction bless me with resilience to push this story forward and complete all the started scenes, because there is a lot of them, yet sometimes I'm so overwhelmed I can only stare at Yingfeng fanart and daydream instead of writing. Summary
If you are looking for a light, fluffy love story between two actual boys Eren and Levi (Rivai), this one is NOT of that kind. Please check out my other fanfictions (if there are currently any; if not, I am sorry, perhaps they will appear in the future).
In short, this is a study of a relationship between young adult Eren and elderly man Rivai, which in lack of other English terms I'd call love, but by ancient Greeks it would probably be called pragma or even agape.

Summary

Summary
Rivai is a young pirate, usually the one on the stork's nest, sometimes also one of Erwin's officers. Eren is a young explorer. He's been leading every expedition to the new world since he found it. The two meet completely accidentally, but the beginning of their relationship is quite romantic: one of them saves the other's life. Brilliant, now they should kiss, right?
It can't be this simple.
What should be mentioned is that Rivai has wings and Eren is half-fish. And both of them are in danger exactly because of it.
