______________Originally written and posted to FF.net in 2020 with the help of my dear friend Lea acting as my editor. She was also the one who gave me the original idea to write this AU in the first place. In honor of a very long and convoluted set of familial circumstances forcing our friendship to end outside of our control, and in honor of the closure I am still trying to seek, I've decided to update and revamp pieces of this story (but not rewriting anything, just updating grammar and sentence flow and adding minor pieces of dialogue and whatnot) and post them here. Unless otherwise stated, the various authors notes are also the same as they were in the original posting.

Summary
Ignoring bad memories is hard when its the dead of night, but not as hard as the headboard when you overshoot an attempted collapse the pillows. Banter, strangely wholesome arguments, and cuddling ensues.
Titled after the Within Temptation song.
Sequel to "Before The Dawn" and "Evergreen" (in that order). Trevor canonically wore an eyepatch for a while after Dracula's Curse and earned his eye scar sometime during that battle. The rest of the stuff in this is a mix of headcanon and random tidbits from other games in the series.

Very quickly written oneshot from months ago based off an event back in August where my little brother pestered me for three hours to make him hot chocolate and I said the more he asked the longer he'd wait, and my petty ass proceeded to do exactly what Alucard does in this rushed little "for fun" piece.

Summary
I'm hoping to write a series of one-shots (or two-shots because I can't seem to write chapters short enough to fit comfortably into one chapter) about Drizzt and Catti-brie because...well, apparently no one else is really doing it. Obviously some people are but there seems to be some slim choices, so here I am!
I can't make any promises I will write anything else, but the first piece is a two-parter that takes place at the end of The Two Swords in The Hunter's Blades trilogy, so major spoilers ahead for that one if you haven't already read it. I myself only just finished the book and decided I needed to do something about it. More thorough descriptions available in chapter summaries.
Also this fic is named after the song "Carry you Home" by Alex Warren because let's face it, it's a perfect song for them.
