Mob sprang out of bed and scrambled to the door. He tossed it open and dashed towards Twixxel's house. The night was dark but light shined from inside. And faintly, Mob saw yellow.
"Verity!" He yelled. "VERITY!" He lunged towards the one open door, and only then, was the scene apparent.
Blood, splattered everywhere. Twixxel, bleeding out on the ground. And Verity, devouring something that took a few seconds to register as Twixxel's arm.

"No, no, I'm not lying!" It said. "Crap. This is all going wrong. Okay. Basically, when I took Avery as my vessel, I didn't take over him. No, we merged. So now, I'm a combination of the King and Avery."

Lettuce was right.
The server is too far gone.
Parrot couldn't fix it—he had been foolish to think otherwise. His own people had turned against him because he was apparently 'too soft' to be the king. As a consequence, he was now being hunted down.
With no idea if his friends were alive or not, and with zero resources, Parrot came to a harsh yet true realization; Unstable didn't care if he was a good ruler or not—Unstable only respected people with power, people who were not afraid to abuse of their strength in order to get what they wanted.
That's why the server had adored Lettuce.
They wanted a Lettuce? Fine.
OR:
A fic where ParrotX2 claws his way back into the server while slowly realizing that playing nice is holding him back. He starts compromising his morals for the kingdom, while his friends watch him become what Saps had predicted; the villain of his own story.

I don’t want to go back— Wifies please don’t put me back!”
“You tried to run,” Wifies repeated. “I’m going to keep you from running.”
Or Parrot tried to run and so Wifies took his wings.
