Summary
How a simple flight can end up being everyone’s worst nightmare.
Plane-sick Stiles who's afraid of flying. A burning car. An explosion. A dead pilot. Three Werewolves, a Coyote and a Banshee stuck in the desert with one very badly injured human who cannot heal himself. Add to that some very bad people, mountain lions, loads of problems, loads of angst, friendship, hurt, pain and stress, and there you have it. This story is blatant Stiles-Whumping (and then some for some other characters too) and I do mean Whumping, with loads and loads of hurt/comfort and angst as sugar coating. Ah yes, there is also a lot of friendship going on, with Sciles, Stydia, Stalia and Sterek-hints to top it all.
I’ve taken a bit of liberty with the area our characters travel in, even though most of it is based on real locations and towns.
Any medical errors are on my behalf, even though I did do a lot of research for this.
This is by the way, the longest fic I’ve even written, so bear with me. Thanks :)Series

Summary

Summary
Stiles gets very good at putting himself back together. He learns which cuts just need butterfly bandages and which need actual stitches and he knows to keep a needle threaded because trying to get everything ready when you're shaking from blood loss is fucking hard. (Not impossible though, he learns that too. There's not much that is impossible when you don't have any other options.)
Post 5A - Stiles may not be in the pack anymore, but that doesn't mean he's going to stop fighting.

AU from 4X01. 48 hours. 48 hours is the timeline when someone is taken. After 48 hours, the percentage of finding them alive is greatly decreased. It's been over a year. (The rescue in Mexico doesn't go quite as the McCall pack had hoped) Rating for language and violence.
They say that when someone goes missing, there’s a 48-hour window. That’s it. 48 hours. That’s 2,880 minutes. In the grand scheme of things, it’s such a laughably miniscule amount of time to be searching for someone until all hope is lost.
But this was a proven fact. 48 hours and the percentage of finding the person – particularly alive and still in one piece – drastically drops until, mathematically speaking, there was no hope to find them.
