“Morning, Casanova,” Blue says with a grin. “How was your date yesterday?”
“How was yours?” Ethan shoots back, taking the cup before Blue decides to rescind the offer of caffeine in retaliation.
“I didn’t have a date.”
“Neither did I.”
Blue laughs. “Right, sure. Could’ve fooled me with hand-holding and the ‘I just missed you, Silver!’”
Ethan winces. Why is everyone suddenly imitating him? He still doesn’t sound like that. “Where’s Red? Isn’t it time for him to toss you over his shoulder and carry you off to his mountain lair or something?”

Summary
For years, for months, for weeks: for a few minutes the two sit in silence. Merold's fork scrapes against his plate and Romarriche barely sips at his tea as he watches Merold from the corner of his eye. Merold's bangs are falling out of the headband and Romarriche ignores the want to brush Merold's hair out of the way.
He doesn't dislike when Merold visits his kingdom. In fact, Romarriche cherishes these visits as one cherishes flowers slowly losing life in a garden. They had more time to meet as children, and now as Fragaria their visits are few and far between. Unfortunately, his visits often remind Romarriche of his hopefully flawed romantic inclination.

Summary
Blue had read a tale once about a guy named Icarus who ignored his father’s warnings of flying too close to the sun. Icarus who was smart, yet foolish at the same time, did fly towards the sun which melted his wings made out of wax then ultimately led him towards his death. And he didn’t understand it. If Icarus was smart, then why did he even attempt to reach the sun? He cannot fathom what he would even achieve by doing so.
But now, Blue clearly sees it. He thinks he can now understand Icarus just a little bit.
Because Red was as bright as the sun, and he desired to grasp even more of his light.

Or: instead of gearing up to outdo last year's disastrous Valentine's day date, Ethan was tossed into the most complicated, yet gut-wrenching game of telephone in all his life because of a single reason— Silver was leaving Pasio on Valentine's day, and Ethan was left in the dark about this drastic decision.
