Hynce first found out about Henry when he was eight years old.
He didn’t mean to pry into Father’s private belongings, but while browsing the contents of the bookshelves he came across a prettily painted wooden box and, well, he couldn’t not open it.
It contained a stack of letters penned undoubtedly by Father’s hand.
All started with: “My dearest, Henry”~***~

Beautiful. The structure is just so perfect with beginning and an end. The characters are lovely and so is the message behind the story. It could be a book or a mini serie, it feels that professional.

For one so immersed in death the veil of one life and the next becomes thin, an extraordinary ability for one with the wit to use it. For a Blacksmith's boy though... perhaps less so.

“Floremesis,” the apothecary eventually muttered. He looked up, his expression pitying. “Flower petals; you’d best see a priest, lad. Nobody but God can help you.”
A shock ran through Henry like a cold wind, drawing his attention with a snap of focus. “Flower petals?” he repeated incredulously, his throat suddenly dry. “What, like Mary Magdalene?”
He’d never really believed the stories of saints and martyrs coughing up flowers. That was something that happened a thousand years ago, the words inked in Latin scripture on illuminated pages, not to now, not to him.

Summary
“Hans,” he immediately called, catching his breath and unable to keep his discovery to himself. “Hans,” urgent and even louder the second time.
“What, you dolt!? Keep yelling like that and every animal within a fifty mile radius will have cleared off by tomorrow,” came the lord’s reply in equal volume.
“Look what I’ve found,” Henry exclaimed, ignoring the biting remark, smile evident even in his tone.
Reading on, he struggled with one particular word, letters arranged in an unfamiliar way.
“This better be good,” Hans huffed as he strode toward Henry, hair still dripping wet.
“Some poor sod lost his letter,” Henry chuckled, still facing away from Hans, who had gone quiet. “Here, listen to this: ‘my heart has been full to bursting with unspeakable lust for none but you.’ Christ.”———
In which Henry finds a letter, and Hans is not happy about it.

I was not a fan of first person narration or isekai before, but this story changed my mind. The plot is fun and show the world we know and love from another angle. I really like that the mc is it’s own character and not necessarily a self insert of the reader.

When he wakes from a good dream, it doesn’t feel like surfacing. It feels like drowning, like being pulled back under water after the smallest gasp of air and the barest glimpse of open sky. On those mornings, he does not get out of bed unless he has to. If he has his way, he will lie there for as long as his body will allow, staring at the peeling paint of the cell wall and trying to forget everything he’s lost.

This should be too weird for Wilson to handle. If he were sane, it definitely would be. But he'd known he wouldn't be going home again tonight, anyway. Episode continuation/canon divergence from 8.02, "Transplant."
