Summary
The world was wonderful, really (with a few exceptions—the only good thing about the 14th century was that it was over).
Take beds, for instance. Marvellous things, beds. Especially beds near windows, where the sunlight could warm a particular demon’s feet in the morning. Especially beds with thick, weighted blankets and large, fluffy pillows and ridiculously soft silk sheets.
Especially beds where a certain angel was lying with his arms wrapped around Crowley’s middle.
“Morning, angel,” Crowley mumbled, burrowing further into his pillow.
Aziraphale chuckled. “Good morning, dear.”

Summary
He's napping on the couch in the bookshop and wakes with a start, jerking hard enough that he almost topples right to the floor. His heart is racing, every sense on high alert, and it takes him a few moments to sort out that there isn't anything to fear in the bookshop in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon.
"Crowley, dear?" Aziraphale stands up from his desk and comes over. "Are you all right?"
Crowley sniffs, tastes the air, trying to see what it is that has him so on edge, what must've crept into his subconscious while he was asleep, but there's nothing out of the ordinary. "Er, yeah. Fine."
(Crowley has nightmares. Fortunately, he also has an angel.)

Summary
"You can stay at my place. If you'd like."
The pillows have flattened the bright spikes of Crowley’s hair, robbed him of his affectation. All the pain, betrayal, bitterness, and disappointment that make him a demon have melted away. And in that body, completely in that body, he looks so unfathomably young to Aziraphale.

Summary
After the world doesn't end, after lunch at the Ritz, and after a nightingale sings in Berkeley Square, Aziraphale and Crowley find themselves at loose ends. Then again, if anything has earned them a little nap, it's stopping Armageddon. It's just that napping is harder than it sounds for an angel and a demon, especially once nightmares start coming into it.

Summary
After everything, Aziraphale and Crowley, by unspoken agreement, begin sharing their lives.
---
Why? Aziraphale wanted to ask him, why millennia of the way things were, and now this? But while Crowley seemed to have little issue upending every unspoken rule they’d ever written for themselves, Aziraphale was not so flexible, and they had spent thousands of years never quite addressing whatever it was this had stemmed from. Words, Aziraphale had always felt, were for bickering about where to eat for lunch, or hashing out ontological debates, or other trivial nonsense; there was no need to trifle with the imprecision of language, with phrasing and the possibility of being misconstrued, when it came to important matters if the other person simply understood, without needing it said. Six thousand years ago, when Aziraphale had met Crowley on the wall of Eden, watching the first two humans set out to begin the rest of history, something deep within him, more central even than his Grace, had thought, oh, it’s you, and that had been enough for him--for both of them, he assumed--for three millennia.
However much he wanted to ask, he didn’t know how. The words simply weren’t there.

Summary
Crowley and Aziraphale come back the bookshop after The Ritz and the reality of the situation sets in.
“We almost lost all of this, our earthly pleasures, no more dining, no more alcohol, no more pretending to thwart each other's plans. I don’t know what I would’ve done with myself if I had lost this,” Aziraphale’s eyes were getting more misty as he continued to speak, tears threatening to drop, “if I had lost you, my dear.”

“Cold.” The demon said wistfully, his face scrunching up at the word.
“Yes, but why?” Aziraphale asked, gently shaking him to keep his attention.
“Heating.” Crowley mumbled and Aziraphale raised an eyebrow. “It broke.”---

Summary
Crowley missed a lot of things by sleeping through the entirety of the nineteenth century, including the invention of the unicycle in 1866. He found the prospect of riding on a single wheel to be incredibly interesting - especially because Aziraphale didn't think he could do it.
Or, Crowley tries to ride a unicycle and fails miserably.
