His older brother is perched with his back to the scientist, head twisted around so as to catch a glimpse of him. Without his mask, the pale, flickering light of the television casts his face into a bright array of freckles, eye bags, and kindly twinkling eyes. On a perpendicular seat sits Raph, raising an invisible, unimpressed eyebrow.
“You look like shit,” the hothead comments.
“Thank you, Raphael,” he grumbles, managing a half-hearted, bleary glare.
