For generations, the Shudderwood has been under the rule of the werewolf tribes, maintaining an uneasy peace with the humans of Ascanor Lodge, a bastion of aristocratic civility in the midst of the wilderness.
That peace has been broken.
Treachery has undermined the Primals and their rage is boundless. Five heroes, on the trail of a malevolent cult, must intercede in werewolf affairs, or else watch the fires of war sweep across Ustalav!

This work is based on Paizo’s Carrion Crown Adventure Path and is a retelling with original characters. As a result, there are massive spoilers for the Adventure Path within.
The Heroes of Ravengro arrive in Lepidstadt to find a city celebrating a victory: the menace known as the Beast of Lepidstadt has been captured and will be put on trial and summarily executed!
But mystery shrouds this celebration, one that lures the heroes in to investigate and defend this creature from the bloodthirsty mob that demands its death. With the city arrayed against them, they open old wounds and pursue forgotten secrets to uncover the truth of the Beast’s circumstances. Surely at the heart of this puzzle lie the machinations of the Whispering Way as they continue their relentless march to their goal, an enigma whispered in shadows: Carrion Crown.

After the events leading to Rebirth, much like everyone else, a young girl is affected. Although for her its different, she is aware of these changes in her world and the question she finds herself asking is: Why?
Now, she must cope with the shadows of her past and confront the trials of her present in order to discover the truth.
Being a Wayne wasn't easy, but being the Batman's daughter, might have made the truth more costly than she hoped.

Fox watched the spectacle from a few feet away. He had heard it many times before, the realization of being caught and pleading that one had not done it on purpose, or that a rather unfortunate spool of events had occurred which none could possibly be from the course of their actions.
It wasn’t their fault, it couldn’t be, to think that something so lamentable could happen to them, it was absurd. The world conspiring against them.
