“You scared me first,” Katara releases a sigh of relief, soaking in the faint, yet familiar warmth returning to his sickly skin. ]After successfully ending the 100 years war, the mangled, scarred, war torn world suddenly seeks guidance from a group of teenagers who have lost all hopes of preserving their childhood. Zuko is thrown into his new position after a painful recovery as the leader of a Nation that tormented the world and Katara finds a newfound opportunity in choices that would have never been accessible before. Despite their futures being prematurely thrust upon them they still have to deal with maintaining withering relationships between family and friends, resurfacing past traumas, and discovering words are futile when it comes to deciphering the complications that come with new crushes.

He can’t help but stare, breathless, as he watches her twirl away from Suki’s blows. He doubts Ty Lee is even aware she’s doing anything, as she uses her bending passively, exclusively to augment her movements.
An extra boost given to a jump. A slight push out of the way of an incoming blow, a shove added to the force of a punch.
He’s entranced, watching the way she effortlessly weaves the currents around her. Somehow, it all just slots in place and he chuckles a bit at the fact he’s even surprised. Really, who else but Ty Lee would be an Airbender?
His laugh seems to break Ty Lee’s concentration for just a moment, as her eyes flit over and meet his.
He can’t help but observe that they’re grey; just like his. He hadn’t thought the detail significant until just now.

In the three years since her disappearance, Azula has come to be acclaimed as the People’s Princess by the masses as the world slowly sinks into chaos. The Northwest Colony chafes under the Fire Nation’s rule and the reconstituted Earth Kingdom teeters on the brink of collapse as each new regime struggles to control the weakened giant.
And though she is gone, Azula continues to cast a shadow on the world she left behind. The Azulinati have all become strong and capable in their own right and the weak nations of the south have banded together with Omashu to form a new world power.
With the world struggling to find its way in these dark times, everyone knows that all it will take is one match to set the world aflame. What kind of world will Azula find when she returns home?
While this story can be read on its own, it is highly recommended that you read “Azula Unkindled” and/or “A Dragon Unkindled” to fully appreciate the final entry in the Azula UnkindledVerse saga.
